Martin Scrivener is a graduate of London School of Journalism, and a 40 year plus veteran of the publishing industry. He began his career in the marketing department with Associated Book Publishers. He then moved to Kluwer Academic Publishers as an acquisitions editor and publisher. Later, as the Managing Director for Swets & Zeitlinger, he built them up from a small journal publisher to a mid-sized publisher of books and journals through acquisitions as well as organic growth. After a series of other roles, he launched the M & M Scrivener Press imprint in 2005 which morphed into Scrivener Publishing. Scrivener Publishing publishes books and journals in the technical applied sciences for both the practitioner in industry and the researcher in academia. This high-quality content helps businesses and industry achieve cost efficiencies and higher productivity. Their content is sold globally in print and electronic formats as well as in aggregated databases. He currently serves s the President of Scrivener Publishing.
